If ever there was motivation for United to go away to St Mary’s Stadium and get a win, here it is. The lads can move up to third in the Premier League table if they take all three points on Monday, and Louis van Gaal’s men will surely be smelling blood ahead of that crunch match. We’ve decided to have a look at a probable starting XI for that game.
The back five did a wonderful job against Stoke City, and although players are returning it’d be foolish to change that. The same can be said about the midfield, with Marouane Fellaini being the stand out performer in recent weeks.
Juan Mata is another certainty after scoring last time out, and James Wilson should get the nod after an excellent performance. The only player to return is Wayne Rooney, who should get the nod ahead of Van Persie who is out of form of late.
