Manchester United have had their fair few bargains over the years, none more so than when they signed Park Ji-Sung for just £4million from PSV Eindhoven.
Yesterday was fourteen years to the day that a deal for the South Korean went through, and in typical fashion, Rio Ferdinand took to Instagram to sing the praises of his former teammate.
As you can see below, Ferdinand hailed Park as both Manchester United ad the Premier League’s ‘best value for money signing in years’ – and rightly so.
Just look at that list of silverware that Park won during his time at Old Trafford. Thirteen trophies in seven years certainly isn’t anything to be sniffed at.
Park’s work-rate was just unbelievable and I think even someone like N’Golo Kante will have been proud of the sheer amount of effort that our South Korean put in week-in-week-out.
Who can forget how much Park loved a goal against Arsenal, too? He always seemed to up his game when going toe-to-toe with the old enemy and more often than not he’d hurt the Gunners in one way or another.
As you’d imagine, his best pal Patrice Evra couldn’t help himself, as he posted the hilarious comment below shortly after Ferdinand uploaded the snap…
