Picture: Sole Manchester United star named in BBC’s Team of the Week after excellent display vs Saints

Manchester United’s poor spell continues as the Red Devils dropped more Premier league points; this time away at Southampton, who are currently battling relegation. I think it’s telling that the Saints have since sacked manager Mark Hughes, I guess that’s what happens when you drop points to this struggling United team…

Anyway, all-around it was another dull display. However, there was one standout performer, and I’m glad that his efforts were recognised in Garth Crooks’ BBC Team of the Week. During the game, the Wythenshawe-born-forward was United’s best attacking option. He looked to get in behind with his pace, his passing was on point and the effort was there for all to see. Rashford finished the match with two brilliant assists, and then Mourinho did what Mourinho does – he subbed him off when his confidence was probably at its highest…
