Manchester United are playing like world-beaters at the moment. Jose Mourinho is a thing of the past, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing his chances at getting the job permanently far more good than harm.
Make no mistake about it, though, the tougher tests are still to come. February could well be the month that defines are season, and it all starts with a huge Champions League clash against PSG at Old Trafford.
Ahead of the huge encounter, Solskjaer and his assistant, Mike Phelan, have been on a little scouting mission in the French capital. The pair were spotted watching PSG lose to Marseille at home – which will no doubt fill them with confidence before the first leg of our last sixteen meeting.
Hopefully, the pair found one or two areas in which they feel United can exploit PSG defensively because make no mistake about it, this tie will be a high-scoring affair.
I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that how we fare in the Champions League could determine whether Solskjaer gets the job for good or not. Thankfully for United, they go into the game with huge momentum and if we can keep this ball rolling, we may well be progressing into the Champions League quarter-finals.
