Manchester United certainly bucked their ideas up rather considerably in January, as Jose Mourinho’s men clawed some ground back on their Premier League rivals in front of them. On top of that, the Red Devils are still in all four competitions.
Today a couple of key players have been massively rewarded for their efforts, as both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have scooped personal awards for their achievements throughout December.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been named EA Sports’ Player of the Month, after scoring five goals in six league appearances. The 35-year-old also tacked on a couple of key assists during that time.
His Manchester United teammate Henrikh Mkhitaryan is finally showing the league just how capable of a player he is. The Armenian kicked things off with an excellent goal against Tottenham Hotspur, but the best was yet to come. Mkhitaryan’s award is the Premier League goal of the Month, for his out of this world scorpion kick that he scored on Boxing Day against Sunderland.
