Manchester United Football Club has always been a home for some of the best players within the beautiful game. It’s a global club with top talents from all over the world honing their skill at the AON Training Complex.
Amongst those is Sweden hot-shot, Victor Lindelof. Yesterday, the one the call the Ice Man took to Twitter to show off a major personal honour…
The 25-year-old United star was all-smiles, trophy in hand, after winning Sweden’s Player of the Year award for the second time in a row:
Understandably, this has been an award dominated by another former red, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, over the years. However, it’s now Lindelof’s time to shine.
The former SL Benfica make is now into his third season at Old Trafford. His first was a real learning curve while Lindelof massively improved in the second. This term, he has been pretty average.
For me, the biggest concern is his lack of composure and sometimes nervous nature. If he can iron that out of his game then there’s no doubt that Lindelof deserves to be Harry Maguire’s regular starting partner.
Anyway, congratulations, Victor! Hopefully, this can get the confidence flowing and he can really take his game up a notch as we head into the busy winter period. Failing that, Axel Tuanzebe may be rapidly breathing down his neck…
