For Manchester United, games are coming thick and fast and this is why in the modern-day game, playing squads are deeper than ever.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been putting his players through their paces in training ahead of the fixture against Partizan Belgrade tomorrow evening, with the Red Devils looking to take control of their Europa League group.
Anyway, during an open training session, journalist Simon Stone offered us a mini-injury update by way of a photo.
Stone confirmed that United defender Victor Lindelof missed training, while another, Luke Shaw, was doing a solo session over on the next pitch…
Lindelof was a doubt to take on AFC Bournemouth at the weekend, though he was passed fit and did play. Perhaps this is United’s way of giving him a rest before the more serious fixtures that are just on the horizon.
As for Shaw, well he’s getting the unwanted reputation of being injury prone. It seems as though when he has a few good games, he picks up a knock and is sidelined for a few months. It’s a real shame because he’s still a brilliant talent, but I’m not sure how long United can keep the faith in him…
We’ll know more when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaks to the press around 13:30 GMT.
