Picture: Wayne Rooney walks out for England with special mascot

Manchester United return at the weekend, in a huge game against Liverpool which is always one of the most eagerly anticipated clashes of the season. Before that though, was England’s final European Championship qualifier of the month, against Switzerland at Wembley Stadium.

England have already qualified for the tournament next summer, but Roy Hodgson was keen to put on a good show for the fans as he opted for a full strength side.

Before the game as the sides were walking out, Wayne Rooney had hold of the hand of a special mascot – the son of David Beckham, Romeo.

Romeo, now 13, is trying to follow in the footsteps of his father and older brother Brooklyn who are both trying to pursue a career in the game. If he has his fathers genes he certainly has the potential to go places.
