Manchester United had an excellent month of December in terms of results, despite the performances not being all that great. Louis van Gaal’s man went on an unbeaten streak during the busiest month of the season, but since then the results and performances have slacked off.
The player of that month was Wayne Rooney, and the England forward has broken David de Gea’s grip on the club Player of the Month award, winning his first monthly accolade in around a year.
The new captain has really taken to his new role like a duck to water, and its great to see Rooney acquitting himself so well despite being used in a number of different positions in recent weeks.
Hopefully he can continue his good form and guide United to a spot in the top four this season.
