Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney has been in great goalscoring form throughout recent weeks, despite his late penalty miss at Anfield on Sunday. The England striker has been in an equally rich vein of form for his country over the past year two, and that led to a personal award being handed to him.
The England fans have named Rooney their Player of the Year ahead of the friendly against Lithuania this weekend, and its sure to spur the 29-year old on for both club and country.
Hopefully his good form can continue and he’ll come back to United and continue banging in the goals that should secure our spot in the top four.
