Manchester United Football Club has always excelled when it comes to harnessing young talents.

Credit to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for continuing that mantra. The Baby Faced Assassin hasn’t shirked away from giving opportunities. Brandon Williams, Mason Greenwood and several others have been the main benefactors.

At a younger age group, United have several stars coming through. Pre-season tour is always a great chance to see the next generation – just look at how well Angel Gomes and Tahith Chong played last summer.

Amongst the young lads trying to get themselves that opportunity this time around is Will Fish. The young defender earned his opportunity under Nicky Butt. This weekend, he has been rewarded.

The talented United defender has signed his first pro contract, all-smiles after putting pen to paper, before taking to Twitter to upload the snap:

The good thing now for the 17-year-old is that his future is secure. Fish can solely concentrate on improving as a player over the next few seasons.

Fish certainly must’ve made a great impression, too, after only making the move to Old Trafford this summer.

In terms of pecking order, Fish has a long way to go, particularly when you’ve got players like Axel Tuanzebe to try and get beyond.

Congratulations, Will!
