Manchester United youngster Will Keane made his full debut for United way back in 2011, since then the striker has gone on to suffer an horrific injury which ruled him out for almost eighteen months. Since then his return to football couldn’t have gone any better as he’s been scoring for United’s U21s just as prolifically as he was before he got injured.
In his eighteen months out he’s watched his brother Michael earn a handful of caps for United before being sent out on a successful loan spell at Leicester City, he’s also watched fellow U21 star Adnan Januzaj break into Manchester United’s first team, that must be Will’s eventual aim.
There is no doubting Will Keane’s talent. Fergie threw him in at the deep end in that Premier League game vs Blackburn almost two years ago now, and in the few minutes he played he didn’t look out of place at all. For now though he must concentrate on getting back fully fit and impressing the United coaches. He must’ve made an impact already though, as there are whispers of a loan move to Wigan Athletic being pretty much done and dusted. That would be exciting as he’ll be able to link up with Nick Powell, who plays just in behind the main striker. Keane has also been called up to the England U21 squad which is a great achievement after being back playing for less than a couple of months.
In the latest issue of United’s official magazine Will Keane gives an interview and tells them that becoming a Manchester United first-team regular has to be the target. The lads clearly talented enough to do it, so lets hope he can stay injury-free for a while and make an impression.
