Manchester United’s second summer signing is seemingly almost complete, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka now in Manchester ahead of his Red Devils medical.
Credit goes to The Sun, who state that the 21-year-old right-back was pictured at the Lowry Hotel bar celebrating with his family, after flying to Manchester via private jet yesterday evening.
Apparently, Wan-Bissaka will sign a five-year deal at United, with the option for a further year. That could potentially keep him at the club until 2025, netting the right-back a cool £25million in the process.
As you can see from the pictures below, this transfer saga is nearing its conclusion and hopefully, we’re not waiting too long before an official club announcement is made.
I’m just thrilled that United have now (pending medical, of course) fixed a glaring need within their starting line-up.
Wan-Bissaka is a top player who enjoyed a brilliant season with Crystal Palace in 2018/19. You’d imagine that playing with better footballers, he’ll only improve over the next twelve months.
Now that this deal is almost over the line, it also allows United to turn their attentions elsewhere and look to add more bodies to a squad that is in desperate need of major work.
I’m looking at a centre-back, a central midfielder and a right-winger. It may be a tough ask to push deals for all three over the line during this window, but that would be the dream.
