Manchester United’s two-week hiatus is almost over, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to get his Red Devils firing on ann cylinders coming off the international break.
It’s fair to say that things could have gone easier for the Old Trafford club in all aspects of play. Defensively, us fans were right to expect better from the whole unit, though Victor Lindelof has been the weak-link thus far.
The potential replacement for the Ice Man is Axel Tuanzebe, who enjoyed a stellar pre-season, looking mightily composed in possession and a solid defender when called upon.
Well yesterday, the 21-year-old took to his Instagram stories to post some photos of himself looking absolutely ripped in training. It’s clear to see he’s putting in the hard work both in the gym and on the practice field!
His work will eventually pay off. Be it in the team to replace Lindelof or playing when the Europa League starts up again, Tuanzebe will get ample first-team minutes this term.
For now, it’s about remaining patient, biding his time and grasping the opportunity with both hands when it comes his way.
Hopefully, that chance will come sooner rather than later, and if his pre-season was anything to go by, he’ll cement his place in the team alongside Harry Maguire in the not too distant future.
