February 2020 was an excellent month to be a Manchester United fan. The Red Devils are now right back in the mix to secure Champions League football for next season, while progressing in both the Europa League and FA Cup.
A big reason behind that was the addition of Bruno Fernandes. The superstar Portuguese has hit the ground running at Old Trafford – being the major influence over the last few weeks.
It was his goal against Everton that dragged United back into the game this weekend, while some of the passes and skills that have been on display showcase his immense talent.
It’s no surprise then, for his efforts, Fernandes has been named United’s Player of the Month for February. As you can see from the great photos below, the midfielder was all-smiles after being presented with the trophy by his new teammate, Juan Mata…
The connection these guys had against Club Brugge last week was just sublime to watch. The pair truly are on the same wavelength in terms of on-ball skill and intelligence, and it’s a partnership that definitely has some huge potential as we approach the business end of the season.
Basically, it’s just refreshing to see United have a player who can be that individual difference-maker. Fernandes is an absolute gem of a footballer and we’re lucky to have him. Hopefully, this unbelievable form continues.
Congratulations, Bruno!
