Manchester United have signed Diogo Dalot from FC Porto. The young right-back, 19, becomes the second player to join the Old Trafford club this summer; following Fred’s arrival from Shakhtar Donetsk.
It didn’t take the Red Devils long to release pictures of the young man decked out in his new kit, and I think it’s fair to say he looks absolutely delighted to be joining the biggest club on the planet.

Our man from Portugal certainly seems excited about joining United. Heck, why wouldn’t he be?
Obviously, he’s still a teenager, and he’s only played a handful of first-team games, so don’t expect to see this lad starting week-in-week-out in the Premier League straight away.
I’d imagine the plan is to let him sit in behind Antonio Valencia for a year or two, while learning the ins and outs of the English style of play. The young man does have all the makings of an elite level right-back, though, and I look forward to watching him flourish.
Now the excitement will be building about when we’ll get to see him in action for the first time. Hopefully, he’ll be a part of the squad that heads to the USA on pre-season tour.
