Pictures: First look at 2022/23 home kit as pictures leaked

The first shots at a potential Man United 2022/23 home kit have been leaked.

Manchester United’s 2021/22 campaign isn’t really going according to plan. That much is obvious.

No doubt behind the scenes, planning for the 2022/23 term is already underway – both on and off the field. A new manager will need to be hired while transfers galore are also a necessity if we’re serious about competing.

On top of that, the powers-that-be have other various chores and tasks – like sorting out the new kits for the 2022/23 campaign.

Now I know this doesn’t interest everyone, but for some it’s a massive part of the build-up to the new term. Well today, I’m pleased to report that the first pictures of the apparent 2022/23 home kit have been leaked. Let’s see if they remind you of anyone…

Now I don’t know about you, but all I see when I look at that collar is Eric Cantona. The 1994-inspired triangular design is a throwback to the glory days – with this pattern also used on the 1994 France kit. More Cantona links…?

Credit to Adidas, who are trending in the direction of paying homage to our heroes of the past. It’s a mantra that’ll never get old amongst the Old Trafford Faithful, with Cantona a massive part of our history.

Obviously, this is just one of many leaks that we’ll no doubt see over the next few months, but I do like it – albeit without the full jersey on display.

This does look like a strip we could win a title in – and look good while doing it!
