Man United’s home kit had already been officially unveiled. Now, a leak of the away strip has appeared.
After months and months of leaks appearing all over the web, we’re now approaching the start of a new season. Although the home jersey has been released by the club, the away colours are still being kept under wraps.
As we all know, Team Viewer is the new main shirt sponsor, as they take up the reins following the expiry of terms with Chevrolet. With the home kit, the plain Team Viewer Logo already gave us all a feeling of positivity, as it definitely looks a lot nicer than the badge of their predecessor.
Anyway, back to the matter-at-hand, the away kit for the 2021/22 season has seemingly been spotted in New Jersey, USA, already on sale. Once again, this is a throwback strip and I have to say, it looks gorgeous.
Check out the snaps of the apparent new away kit here:
I’m a sucker for a strip that is enriched with history from glorious memories gone by – and this ode to the 91-93 shirt definitely hits the spot for me.
That said, I do understand that this pattern is somewhat out there and it’s not going to be to the taste of everyone. Just like the ‘zebra’ strip from last time out, I reckon this one will grow on us all as the season progresses.
I do like the fact that the logo, club crest and Adidas badge are all in the same colour. It keeps a plainness to the shirt that is often lost – particularly on these away kits.
Perhaps we’ll see this one in action when United take on QPR this weekend?
