The first batch of Man United players took part in an Erik ten Hag training session for the first time yesterday.
Manchester United were quick to give us the content of players arriving at the AON Training Complex for the first training session of the new year.
They made us wait for the first official training session photos, but alas, they’re here!
For us here at Old Trafford Faithful, this is an exciting time. There’s nothing better than watching the lads start to arrive at Carrington for the beginning of a new season.
The slate has been wiped clean. Everyone will get their chance under Erik ten Hag. With pre-season tour just a fortnight away, it’s exciting to watch the squad working hard, keen to impress the new boss.
Normally, the first batch of players to arrive tend to be those who haven’t participated for their country of late. With United struggling towards the back end of last season, this time around, a large portion of the squad are already at the AON Training Complex.
Cheers to the official club Twitter account for the snaps, as the likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial were all put through their paces in the session.
Check out the photos of the lads in action here:
There seems to be a real nice blend of youth and experience already. The good news about the lads arriving earlier than normal is the fact that they’ll get up to speed quicker.
Take Rashford for example. He struggled badly last year, but with a full and proper pre-season under his belt, he’ll have the best chance at turning his fortunes around.
It’s great to see Shola Shoretire, Amad and Tahith Chong involved in the session. Donny van de Beek, too. There’s no doubt he’s hoping to impress the new boss and force his way back into the first-team plans at United.
It’s definitely great to see the boys back out there putting the graft in!
