Manchester United Football Club are gearing up for their final Europa League group stage game in chilly Manchester right now, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to round off the group in style.
In order to top Group L, the Red Devils must avoid defeat at home to AZ Alkmaar. In the reverse fixture, the sides played out a bore 0-0 draw. I’d take the same result in a heartbeat tomorrow.
Anyway, ahead of the game, Solskjaer has been putting his players through their paces in first-team training. With several stars involved, including youngsters Angel Gomes and Brandon Williams – both of whom will be looking to get themselves in the starting XI for the clash.
It really is snood weather in Manchester right now. Typically, it’s freezing, raining and very windy (cheers storm Brendan!)
As you can see, Victor Lindelof is definitely living up to his Iceman nickname, though we’re not sure whether he’s just putting on a brave face… It’s probably very cold at this time of year in his homeland of Sweden, mind.
Personally, I think we’ll see a much-changed starting XI for the game tomorrow, with a nice blend of youth and experience. Whatever team Solskjaer calls upon, you’d home we have enough firepower to get the job done and secure our place in the last 32 as group winners.
