Manchester United returned to winning ways at the weekend and that is the perfect way to head to Catalonia as they gear up for a huge fixture against FC Barcelona.
The Red Devils find themselves 1-0 down thanks to a Luis Suarez goal, but don’t forget that in the last round against Paris Saint-Germain we were far better away from home.
Hopefully, in that regard lightning can indeed strike twice. United need some huge performances from their top superstars and today, the whole squad was pictured getting aboard their flight to Spain.
The lads looked in good spirits and as you can see Phil Jones was left with a cut just above his eye following a collision with Declan Rice during the West Ham game. Anyway, at least he’s fit enough to be in contention for this one.
Defensively this is the time where it all must come together for United. Victor Lindelof is well rested so he should be feeling good, and my guess is that Chris Smalling will partner him at the back. Ashley Young will start in Luke Shaw’s absence through suspension, meaning Diogo Dalot will likely continue at right-back.
Alexis Sanchez and Nemanja Matic are both fit to return to the squad although I do have my doubts about whether either of them will start.
