The first batch of players have started to arrive for the beginning of pre-season training under Erik ten Hag.
Just like that, we’re right back at it. Manchester United play their first pre-season game in a little over a fortnight, with the Red Devils gearing up for life under Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman has no doubt been meticulously planning behind the scenes for the last few weeks, after starting life at United early due to the massive task at hand.
Suddenly, the first batch of players are back in training. This initial group is mostly lads who haven’t been away for their country, meaning they had their rest and recuperation period much sooner than the others.
The official United Twitter account shared some snaps of the lads arriving for their first Ten Hag training session, which was no doubt a gruelling experience.
Donny van de Beek, David de Gea, Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Martial were amongst the first to return on Monday morning.

First and foremost, I have that little-kid excitement building up inside me again. Yes, it’s going to be a period of learning for the whole squad and no, I’m not expecting miracles. However, that buzz of watching the lads play will forever remain – no matter how badly we’re performing.
To see the likes of Van de Beek, who is likely expecting a big bounceback year, along with fellow 2021/22 loanees Anthony Martial and Brandon Williams, shows that there is a clean slate for everyone.
Sprinkle in some youth and experience in the form of Alejandro Garnacho and Tom Heaton respectively and you’ve got yourself a pretty strong starting squad given this is only day one of training.
Welcome back, lads! It’s great to see you.
