With a strong start the Red Devils could surprise a few people, however, early losses could destroy the atmosphere within that dressing room and it could be another disastrous campaign.
If pre-season is anything to go by then we’re in for an excellent nine months but it’s always tough to gauge the importance of friendly results in comparison to a Premier League fixture.
Before the serious stuff starts, the eagle-eyed Manchester Evening News reporters pictured the squad arriving in Spinngingfields, Manchester, going for a team bonding meal:
Amongst those pictures were new signings Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, while Paul Pogba, David de Gea were amongst more regular faces.
At the elite level, talent-wise, there isn’t much between the best of the best. It’s all about having the correct mindset and having that telepathic connection with your teammates. Bonding sessions like this can only build dressing room harmony and it’s vital to bring everyone together.
No doubt all the lads, like us fans, are ready and raring to go for Sunday’s big kick-off. Go get em, boys!
