Pictures: Man United stars in training ahead of Aston Villa away

Man United have been putting their players through their paces in training ahead of Aston Villa away.

Ralf Rangnick’s side have done pretty well in terms of results since the German took charge at Manchester United. We all knew it was going to take a little longer for the performances to catch up.

Against Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Monday night, United could have easily lost that one. Hopefully, that has given the lads a jolt ahead of the rematch against Villa in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Ahead of that game, Rangnick has been putting his squad through their paces in training. The official club Twitter account has shared some photos – giving us hints at who may well be available for selection.

Well I’m pleased to report that a key trio were spotted back in training as the lads gear up for this massive game. Cristiano Ronaldo, Phil Jones and Jadon Sancho were all back out there after muscular injuries ruled them out on Monday night.

Having a healthy squad could be crucial when it comes to the end of season push – be it for trophies or league position. Whatever we’re fighting for, United need their best players available. It goes without saying, Ronaldo and Sancho are amongst our top performers. Jones also brings good depth to the table, assuming he can stay fit.

This league game against Aston Villa is crucial. Again, it’s going to be a massive ask for the lads and the result is all-important. However, if we play to our best, we have every chance at winning the fixture.

With the Champions League starting up soon, having a full complement of bodies to choose from could be the make or break. It’s good that these lads should be fit enough to take on Villa this weekend.
