Pictures: Man United stars including Ronaldo training ahead of Newcastle game

Man United players have been working hard in training ahead of Newcastle United’s visit to Old Trafford this weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United side have seven points from a possible nine, but no doubt the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo will give the whole dressing room a boost.

After a fortnight off due to the international break, we are back. Games will start coming thick and fast too, due to the beginning of our Champions League and EFL Cup campaign.

With that in mind, this is now when Solskjaer will start to use it’s squad to the fullest, so expect to see more Donny van de Beek, Nemanja Matic and Edinson Cavani.

Anyway, first up is a very winnable game against The Magpies. Ahead of that fixture, United stars have been in training, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho & Hannibal Mejbri in amongst the session.

On the feel-good factor alone, I’d like to think that United will have enough confidence to get the job done here. Ronaldo’s addition to that dressing room is such a mood-lifter and everyone will want to perform even better to ensure their place in the side isn’t under threat.

This international break definitely came at a good time in regards to injuries, too. The likes of Jadon Sancho, Scott McTominay and Alex Telles have all since returned to training over the last fortnight, giving our Baby Faced Assassin even more options across multiple positions.

It’s always good to see youngsters like Hannibal and Alvaro Fernandez doing enough to be given the chance to train with the first-team, too. These lads will be no doubt chomping at the bit to force their way into the starting line-up.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo make his Man United debut this weekend? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
