Manchester United Football Club will certainly be grateful of their two-week hiatus due to the newly-introduced winter break, but the Red Devils have been putting in the work regardless.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took his squad to Marbella, Spain, to partake in a warm-weather training session in what’ll undoubtedly be an excellent time to clear the mind and recharge the batteries.
First and foremost, it gives United an extra fortnight to get players back from injury. You look at both Scott McTominay and Axel Tuanzebe who’re both back out there, although who knows what’s going on with Paul Pogba…
Anyway, the lads looked to be having a great time out in Spain. Thanks to the @ManUtd Twitter account for sharing the snaps with the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Angel Gomes and Timothy Fosu-Mensah in amongst the session:
With key faces returning from time spent on the treatment table, coupled with a pair of signings made towards the end of the January transfer window, this squad is suddenly looking much more competitive.
Faces like Diogo Dalot, Eric Bailly and Tuanzebe will be ready to make their mark, while Solskjaer will undoubtedly call upon the brilliant academy graduates at his disposal due to participation in three different competitions.
I guess all that’s left now is to get both Marcus Rashford and Pogba back, though I wouldn’t hold my breath on the latter…
