Man United’s new away kit is here, with the players modelling it beautifully in first-team training.
After the official unveiling of the home strip a couple of weeks ago, we’ve finally been treated to our first viewing of the away kit.
As expected, Adidas have gone for another throwback kit and this one is an absolute beauty. The new jersey is complete with new ‘Team Viewer’ sponsor on the front, while their all-red badge complements the all-red Adidas logo and United crest perfectly.
The official announcement about the kit was made by the club this morning and shortly after, some photos of the lads wearing the strip in training were released.
As you can see from the photos below, the likes of Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba, Mason Greenwood and Scott McTominay looked pretty happy to be donning their new colours!
I’m just a sucker for a throwback jersey and this one is particularly smart. Adidas have taken some stick for some of the kits they’ve designed recently but I do genuinely like the look of this one.
It’s a shame that we won’t see it in action against Preston tomorrow, which was no doubt the plan before that game got scrapped due to positive COVID-19 tests within the United dressing room.
Unless the boys now plan on wearing that against Everton next weekend, the first time we’ll see this kit in proper action will be in a competitive match in the Premier League.
