Man United have announced a multi-year training gear sponsorship with Tezos.
So let’s start with this, what is Tezos? Well, it’s one of the world’s most advanced and sustainable blockchains. They’re set to partner United for at least the next two years, with their logo on full display on both the men’s and women’s training gear.
The Red Devils confirmed the partnership earlier today, while widespread reports suggest that this could be worth in excess of £20million-per-year for the Old Trafford club.
For Tezos, it’s another method of getting their brand out to a wider, global audience. In our opinion, this immediately feels like a win-win for all involved.
In terms of the fans, it’s more about what the logo and brand looks like on the shirt. Well, I’m happy to report that it actually looks pretty decent, with the club also officially unveiling some photos alongside the massive announcement.

The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raphael Varane, David de Gea and Bruno Fernandes are already modelling the new gear, with the training wear looking very smart if I do say so myself!
At the end of the day, United is a business now more than it ever was. This is more incoming money for the club and we have to hope that at least a portion of that will be allocated back into the playing squad. Otherwise, this is pretty meaningless to us supporters.
With the Glazer family coming under heavy scrutiny recently, it’d be a pretty big error on their part if they didn’t ensure some of these funds are delegated to bringing in new players, or paying the wages of a marquee star for the next couple of years.
