Manchester United’s transfer window is finally hotting up, with the club confirming the signatures of the new midfield duo of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, who’ve cost a combined £39million to bring in from Bayern Munich and Southampton respectively.
Bastian Schweinsteiger, 30, will become the first German player to join Manchester United’s first team, after penning a three-year contract at Old Trafford, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2018.
Morgan Schneiderlin has signed a four-year deal with an option for a fifth, and he admitted that signing for United was a dream come true, and thats what he has worked all his life for.
Its ironic that United have signed two world class midfielders within roughly ten minutes, whereas we had a six-year wait under Sir Alex Ferguson without dipping into the transfer market in the middle of the park.
