Manchester United’s short but sweet tour of China certainly won’t be one to remember for pretty much everyone involved. Their first game ended in defeat, as Borussia Dortmund overpowered Mourinho’s men by an emphatic 4-1 scoreline.
Then United were supposed to go head-to-head with Manchester City, but the game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
That meant the squad were able to fly home early, and get in some extra training sessions before the game against Galatasaray in Sweden at the end of the month – which is expected to be Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s debut for the club.
Today, pictures emerged of the players getting ready to depart from China, and embark on a ten-hour flight back to Manchester overnight.
From the pictures below, you can tell that Mourinho clearly wasn’t happy with the situation of the pitch, and China as a whole if we’re being brutally honest.
Hopefully the fact that the players are now a match down doesn’t affect their fitness levels and confidence, because the season is rapidly closing in.
