Louis van Gaal’s Holland were finally beaten at the semi-final stage of the World Cup, but the Dutch manager won’t be officially taking charge of Manchester United’s training sessions until early next week. In training so far, it has just been the players who haven’t attended the World Cup with their national teams – including the likes of Jesse Lingard, Tom Lawrence, James Wilson and new signing Ander Herrera.
