Manchester United put some distance between themselves and the rest of the sides chasing a spot in the top-four at the weekend, thanks to a brilliant home victory against Liverpool.
You have to say that Jose Mourinho got his tactics spot on, and bringing a hungry Marcus Rashford back into the side was nothing short of a stroke of genius. The Wythenshawe-born-forward bullied Liverpool in the first 45 minutes, and his deadly finishing was an absolute joy to watch.
Today, the self-proclaimed Special One has been putting his players through their paces in training, and as you’d imagine, the players were all-smiles on a cold day in Manchester.

Now that a Champions League spot for next season is pretty much secured, it means United can turn the majority of their attentions to winning either the Champions League or the FA Cup.
Tomorrow night, the Red Devils host Sevilla in a huge game that could go an awfully long way to determine whether our season as a whole is a success. Then, on Saturday, Brighton visit Old Trafford for a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. I certainly wouldn’t bet against Mourinho going all the way in at least one of those tournaments…
