Manchester United have now topped their record fee for spending in a summer transfer window, after announcing the signing of Marcos Rojo earlier today. The 24-year old cost €20m from Sporting Lisbon, who have also received the inconsistent winger Nani on a season-long loan as part of the deal.
Rojo will wear Rio Ferdinand’s old #5 jersey, and could make his debut as early as this weekend, despite not having a pre-season.
