Manchester United play their final Champions League group game in Spain tomorrow, as Jose Mourinho gets his men prepared for Valencia.
The game itself is somewhat of a dead rubber, which could present opportunities for fringe squad members, or youngsters to get their opportunity.
Before the squad jet out to Valencia, both Mason Greenwood and James Garner were spotted in first-team training, as social media was sent into a frenzy, speculating whether the pair could be aboard the plane.
What a moment this is for the young pair. They can practically smell a first-team opportunity, and they both deserve it too, following the brilliant season they’ve had so far.
This club has always been about giving youth players a chance, and what a brilliant night it’d be if both get on the field tomorrow.
In particular, Greenwood has a real shot at going an awfully long way in this game. His goalscoring prowess could bring so much to the first-team, even at this early stage in his career.
Who knows, if he gets some minutes and takes them well, we could have another Marcus Rashford on our hands. I certainly wouldn’t bet against it…
