Alex Telles and Scott McTominay are back in training following injury.

Manchester United Football Club have been contending with a variety of first-team injuries to start this season.

Marcus Rashford and Dean Henderson have had their issues, as have Alex Telles and Scott McTominay. Yesterday, we learned straight from the horse’s mouth that the latter pair were back in training.

Well, what better way to back that up than to see it with our own eyes? the United duo were spotted back in first-team training by official club photographers shortly after. It’s lovely to see them back out there ahead of a tricky trip to West Ham United.

Whether or not these guys will be fit enough to play any part this weekend is another matter entirely.

If I had to guess, I’d give McTominay a far better chance for two reasons. First, he’s been sidelined for far less time, while also, he plays in a position where United don’t look half as strong without him.

As for Telles, he’s had no pre-season whatsoever, meaning he’s way off the pace in terms of match sharpness. Couple that with the incredible form of Luke Shaw and I can almost guarantee United are going to take it slowly with the Brazilian.

Either way, for Solskjaer it’s just another step in the right direction. Games are now coming thick and fast across multiple competitions. The midweek fixtures will slowly but surely begin to pile up – and that’s where rotation becomes massively important.

Telles and McTominay are both brilliant players within their own right and I don’t doubt they’ll make a positive impact on our 2021/22 campaign.

Welcome back, lads!
