Both Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani are back in training after missing the Brighton game with problems.
Manchester United grabbed a much-needed victory on Tuesday night at home to Brighton & Hove Albion. The game itself was another game of two halves, but this time, the Red Devils finished strong and picked up all three points.
The match itself was won by a moment of individual brilliance by Cristiano Ronaldo, but credit has to go to the midfield and defence. Who, despite not being at their best, managed to preserve a clean sheet and grind out a result.
Two lads missed that game. Edinson Cavani, who had a groin issue, while Raphael Varane was a late absentee due to a stomach issue on the night.
Well, I’m pleased to report United have been given a double injury boost on that front. I’m pleased to report that the key duo were both back in training on Thursday ahead of the Leeds United game this coming Sunday.

Varane, who has had several injury issues this term, remains our best centre-half. He brings a calming presence to a backline that absolutely needs it. Thankfully, it looks as though the Frenchman’s midweek absence will be the only game missed with this stomach problem.
As for Cavani, it has truly been a stop-start season. Little injuries have caused him to miss game-time while the travelling back and forth from Uruguay has led to more unavailability for El Matador. It’s also worth noting he is vital to this Reds side. His energetic style, presence up top and desire to put his body on the line means he’s one of our most influential players.
Welcome back, fellas!
