Player Ratings as Man United beat West Ham 1-0 (Premier League home, 2022/23)

David de Gea – The Spaniard has been improving every single week, culminating in an unreal performance, particularly late on. He made some truly sublime saves. 8/10

Diogo Dalot – Usually selected for his offensive quality. However, it was his defensive skills that stood out today. Won so many back-post headers. 8/10

Lisandro MartinezUnreal yet again. So good with the ball at feet and defends like an absolute warrior. What a signing. 8/10

Harry Maguire – Improved as the game went on. Won some huge headers, particularly in that second 45. 7/10

Luke Shaw – They don’t call him Shawberto Carlos for nothing. He was effective on both sides of the ball. 7/10

Casemiro – Mopped up super well. Played an insane ball forward early on. 6/10

Christian Eriksen – Kept it simple. Made some nice passes forward. 6/10

Bruno Fernandes – Led the press as per usual. Always tried to make things happen. Booked. Unavailable to play against West Ham as a result. 6/10

Anthony Elanga – Had a relatively quiet game. Didn’t really get into it. 4/10

Marcus Rashford – United’s best attacker. Scored with a thumping header. Consistently threatened when in possession. 7/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – Missed a couple of half-chances in the second half. Did get a full 90 minutes under his belt. Good when it came to holding up the ball. 5/10

Subs:

Fred – Brought on to secure up the midfield.

Scott McTominay – Solid.
