Tom Heaton – Had a decent first 45 minutes, though was beaten twice by Malen in quick succession. 6/10

Diogo Dalot – Scored a screamer to get United back into the game. Had a decent time out there. 7/10

Victor Lindelof – Didn’t cover himself in glory for Dortmund’s first. Struggled alongside Maguire. 4/10

Harry Maguire – Was given a telling off by Onana in the second half. Did play decent enough in the first 45 minutes. 5/10

Brandon Williams – Was beaten too easily for the first goal, though grew into the game. Looked good going forward. 5/10

Scott McTominay – Wore the armband to start things off. Had a relatively quiet game on both sides of the ball. 5/10

Christian Eriksen – Kept things ticking over nicely. Put in the effort on both sides of the ball. Looked good. 6/10

Donny van de Beek – Played in that #10 slot and didn’t look too bad. Found himself in some nice pockets of space. 6/10

Facundo Pellistri – Bright off the left-hand side. Always tried to make things happen. His end product was hit and miss. 6/10

Omari Forson – Looked bright for over 30 minutes, until being involved in a tangle with an opponent. That seemed to rattle him and knock confidence. Subbed shortly after. 6/10

Jadon Sancho – Led the line again. Involved in some decent link-up play. 5/10

Subs:

Antony – Drew United level with a lovely finish into the corner. His only act of note.

Andre Onana – The standout for United. Good with the ball at feet and not afraid to shout at his teammates.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Pretty poor on both sides of the ball.

Jonny Evans – Didn’t look out of place with the senior side.

Lisandro Martinez – A fairly comfortable evening for Licha when he came on.

Luke Shaw – Not really a factor.

Mason Mount – Took up some nice positions.

Casemiro – Continues to build the fitness. Didn’t really do anything of note.

Bruno Fernandes – Typically busy. Involved in everything good about United’s play.

Marcus Rashford – Looked lively. Created some chances.

Joe Hugill – Missed a decent chance late.
