Player Ratings: Blackburn Rovers 1-2 Manchester United

Sergio Romero – Dealt with crosses very well. Couldn’t do anything about the goal and that double-save late on was out of this world. Well played. 7/10

Ashley Young – Played out of position at right-back and did well for the most part. 6/10

Chris Smalling – So poor for Danny Graham’s opener. Lost his man completely and gave the striker far too much room. 3/10

Marcos Rojo – At fault for the Blackburn goal as he completely lost track of Emnes. 3/10

Matteo Darmian – Defensively you never feel safe with him in the side. Doesn’t bring much to the table going forward either. 4/10

Michael Carrick – Not his finest hour. You expect him to protect the back four but he was bypassed far too easily. His passing was wayaward.  4/10

Ander Herrera – Very busy as per usual, but couldn’t find that killer ball. 5/10

Jesse Lingard – Lively to be fair. Picked up a needless booking in the second half though. 5/10

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Played a delightful ball through to Rashford for the equaliser. Pulled the strings throughout.  8/10

Anthony Martial – Had a quiet one. Just couldn’t get into the match and rightfully subbed off on the hour mark. 4/10

Marcus Rashford- Drew United level as he rounded the keeper midway through the first half. Played well 7/10

Subs:

Paul Pogba – Created a couple of chances and that ball he played into Zlatan was world class.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Could’ve scored with one of his first touches. That didn’t matter as he found the all-important goal shortly after.

Juan Mata – Not enough time to mark.
