Player Ratings: Burnley 0-0 Manchester United

David de Gea – As always, David was solid. Distributed well and kept composed. 6/10

Phil Jones – One of the standout performers in a poor start to the season. Did well once again. 6/10

Jonny Evans – Looked a nervous wreck on his return to Premier League action after the 4-0 humiliation midweek. On the whole did alright. 5/10

Tyler Blackett – He does his defensive duties very well, but he needs more composure when on the ball rather than hoofing it long. 5/10

Antonio Valencia – Gave the ball away far too often, and very predictable due to only being able to play with his right foot. 4/10

Darren Fletcher – Did the simple things well, which is his game down to a tee. Don’t expect him to go on dinky runs and beat players, because he’s purely there to break up play. 5/10

Angel Di Maria – An exciting debut. He’ll fit in well at Manchester United. Unreal pace and excellent vision, should’ve had a couple of assists if it were for better finishing. 7/10 Man of the Match.

Ashley Young – Probably could have had a penalty but his reputation went before him. Did alright. 5/10

Juan Mata – Struggled massively. None of our front three have pace, and thats where the problem lies. 3/10

Wayne Rooney – Worked hard but never really threatened. Our captain must do better. 4/10

Robin van Persie – Working back to match fitness, and it showed. A fit RVP would’ve buried that chance early on in the first half. He’ll get there. 5/10

Subs:

Anderson – Did ok, and pushed United forward. 6/10

Adnan Januzaj – Shown glimpses of his abilities. 6/10

Danny Welbeck – Its crazy that United are trying to offload him. Brought some much-needed pace to the game. 6/10
