Player Ratings: Crystal Palace 0-0 Manchester United

David de Gea – Made some fantastic saves to ensure United didn’t suffer further embarrassment by getting beat. 7/10 Man of the Match.

Matteo Darmian – Not his greatest game in a United jersey. Rightly subbed off. 4/10

Chris Smalling – Looked tired as the game went on, probably due to the 120 minutes he played on Wednesday. 6/10

Daley Blind – Fairly quiet. Looked shaky at times, but not really troubled by Gayle up top. 5/10

Marcos Rojo – Involved in a good tussle with former red Wilfried Zaha, looked physical but struggled with his pace. 5/10

Morgan Schneiderlin – Was a passenger for the most part. His passing was off and didn’t look threatening. 4/10

Bastian Schweinsteiger – Some of his movement was fantastic, but lacked any real cutting edge going forward. 5/10

Juan Mata – Started positively and picked some nice passes. Faded and eventually subbed. 5/10

Ander Herrera – Should’ve been booked for a dive, all-in-all a poor performance. 4/10

Anthony Martial – Once again United’s most threatening player. 6/10

Wayne Rooney – Should have scored a one-on-one but just wasn’t sharp enough. 4/10

Subs:

Ashley Young – Looked bright when he came on.

Marouane Fellaini – Won a few headers.

Jesse Lingard – Made some good runs.
