Player Ratings during Man United’s 1-0 win over West Ham (Premier League home, 2020/21)

Dean Henderson – Didn’t really have any difficult saves to make. Distributed the ball quickly. 6/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Pretty sloppy in possession for the most part. Had some troubles trying to break down West Ham’s low block. 5/10

Victor Lindelof – Did ok. I’d like to see him play out from the back a little more, but defensively he was solid. 6/10

Harry Maguire – Led by example. Won many headers, made some big blocks and key tackles. A rock at the back. 7/10

Luke Shaw – United’s best attacking outlet for most of the night. Ran up and down that left flank all game. Defended well and moved forward with purpose. 8/10

Scott McTominay – It was his presence that led to the only goal of the game. We’re looking at a talented midfielder who is maturing right before our eyes. 6/10

Fred – Was always busy, though his passing often left plenty to be desired. Improved as the game opened up. 5/10

Bruno Fernandes – Tried to make things happen. His passing was always crisp. Had a few decent shots on target. 6/10

Daniel James – Had a good second 45 minutes as West Ham came out of their shell. Struggled with the low-block in the first half. 5/10

Marcus Rashford – Made some great runs forward down the left. Didn’t really get into any threatening positions aside from missing a massive headed opportunity. 5/10

Mason Greenwood – Looked super sharp. Hit the post twice but led the line brilliantly. I don’t doubt he’ll start scoring again soon.
