David de Gea – Couldn’t do anything about either own goal. Made a smart save as the first half drew to a close. 6/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Was solid enough. Did his job defensively. Wasn’t as effective in the final third. 5/10

Raphael Varane – Was having a steady game until injury struck. Hopefully, he’s not out for too long. 6/10

Lisandro Martinez – Was United’s best defender until his late injury. You fear the worst as he went down under no pressure. Looked like a season-ender. 7/10

Tyrell Malacia – Pretty poor. It was his lapse in concentration that gave Sevilla a way back into the game. 3/10

Casemiro – Fantastic to see him back out there. Was excellent in that defensive-midfield role. 7/10

Bruno Fernandes – Played in the deeper position again and was pulling the strings. Booked for a joke of a handball decision. Now misses the next leg. 6/10

Marcel Sabitzer – Scored United’s two goals with fantastic finishes. He looked sharp. 8/10

Antony – Lively. A constant threat and had some decent chances to score. 7/10

Jadon Sancho – Never looked like he fully believed in himself. Had a couple of opportunities to score. 5/10

Anthony Martial – Led the line well and linked up the play beautifully at times. Excellent. 7/10

Subs:

Harry Maguire – Scored Sevilla’s second with an own goal.

Wout Weghorst Worked hard as per usual.

Christian Eriksen – Nice to see him back out there.

Anthony Elanga – Didn’t really get into it.

Facundo Pellistri – Didn’t really get into it.
