Man United’s Europa League dream is over, after a thumping away at Sevilla last night. Here are our player ratings from that game…
David de Gea – Was involved in all three Sevilla goals. His pass to Maguire for the opener wasn’t good enough. He got caught cold for the second and the third was just shocking. 1/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Steady enough defensively, though offered nothing going forward. Hooked at half-time. 4/10
Harry Maguire – Just disastrous. Far too casual for the Sevilla opener. Looked shaky for the remainder of the first half after that. 2/10
Victor Lindelof – He was okay from a personal point of view. 5/10
Diogo Dalot – Played in that left-back position and wasn’t the worst player in the back four. Switched to the right-side in the second 45. 4/10
Casemiro – Wasn’t really involved. Was a bystander in midfield at times. Picked up a rash booking. 4/10
Christian Eriksen – Uncharacteristically sloppy in possession. Couldn’t build any positive momentum when United were moving forward. 3/10
Marcel Sabitzer – Too quiet in that number ten position. Didn’t get him on the ball anywhere near enough. 3/10
Jadon Sancho – Just doesn’t look confident in his own ability at present. Offered little to no threat. 3/10
Antony – United’s only attacker who looked threatening. Tried to make things happen but wasn’t given much help by his teammates. 5/10
Anthony Martial – Not in the game anywhere near enough. Started to sit deeper and deeper. Came off injured. 3/10
Subs:
Marcus Rashford – Came on at half-time but didn’t really play well.
Luke Shaw – Dreadful. His passing was poor. Did seem to have an injury, though.
Wout Weghorst – Didn’t get into it.
Fred – Didn’t really have an impact.
Anthony Elanga – Not enough time to mark.
