Player Ratings: Leicester City 1-1 Manchester United

David de Gea – Couldn’t do anything about the goal, but made a top save to deny Leicester a winner in the second half.

Paddy McNair – Nice to see him back involved, and at the end of the day he did not look out of place. 6/10

Chris Smalling – Once again contoured the back line superbly. Didn’t give Vardy a sniff after his goal. 7/10

Daley Blind – His dead ball delivery is great. Looked solid at the back. 6/10

Matteo Darmian – Was out of position for Vardy’s opener. Did well aside from that. 6/10

Michael Carrick – Misplaced way too many passes in the first half. Improved slightly in the second. 5/10

Bastian Schweinsteiger – Scored a wonderful header. Rallied the troops and bossed the midfield. Excellent. 8/10 Man of the Match.

Juan Mata – Didn’t influence the game whatsoever. Disappointing from the Spaniard. 4/10

Wayne Rooney – His touch and passing was wayward on occasion, Expect better. 4/10

Ashley Young – Got forward where possible, but his final ball let him down. 5/10

Anthony Martial – Looked fairly quiet. Isolated for the majority. 5/10

Subs:

Memphis Depay – Didn’t really have enough time to influence the game.
