Sergio Romero – Was as much of an on-looker as the fans in the stands. A quiet evening. 5/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Did his defensive duties excellently as per. Still, I’d like to see more on-ball quality from him when going forward. 6/10
Marcos Rojo – Always plays with a passion and a fire within the belly. He was pretty good. 5/10
Harry Maguire – Led the backline very well. Pulled up limp late on, hopefully, it wasn’t anything too serious. 6/10
Ashley Young – Wasn’t too bad. Kept the ball moving in the right direction, though against better opposition, his positioning could have been exposed from time-to-time. 5/10
Scott McTominay – Not his best outing. Somewhat sloppy on the ball and although he did improve in the second 45, we’ve come to expect better. Hopefully, his injury isn’t too serious. 4/10
Fred – Decent. His passing was sometimes a concern but you feel he’s growing into the role as a United midfielder. 5/10
Juan Mata – Nice to see him in the team. Brought some creativity to the table. His footballing brain is still unmatched within this United squad. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – Missed a few chances, but eventually made Belgrade pay with a superb finish off his weak foot. Quality strike. 7/10
Mason Greenwood – The young lad only needs one chance to score – and he took it with aplomb. It was nice to see the mega-talented teen back within the first-team. 6/10
Anthony Martial – Brilliant. His movement throughout the game was outstanding and his solo-goal was just unbelievable. What a player. Man of the Match. 8/10
Subs:
James Garner – Nice to see him make his Old Trafford bow.
Andreas Pereira – Kept things ticking over.
Jesse Lingard – A late replacement for the injured McTominay.
