Player Ratings: Man United draw 1-1 with Chelsea, top four hopes over

David de Gea – Made another colossal error as his bad form continues. It just feels like his head isn’t in it anymore. 3/10

Ashley Young – He tries hard and puts in a real shift for the cause, but the quality just isn’ there. 4/10

Eric Bailly – Nice to see him back in the team. He actually was having a really good game until he suffered a nasty-looking injury. 6/10

Victor Lindelof – Played another superb game. Dealt with Higuain brilliantly-well. He’s really growing into his role as a regular starter. 7/10

Luke Shaw – Easily United’s best performer. He brought energy, intensity and quality to the team throughout. Top display. 8/10

Nemanja Matic – Did alright, but sometimes he’s so static and passive. I actually prefer McTominay in that position at the moment. 5/10

Ander Herrera – You have to put his future to one side and appreciate that when he starts, United play better. He was pretty great considering only recently returning from injury. 6/10

Paul Pogba – Started strongly but drifted out of the game after Chelsea’s equaliser. 4/10

Juan Mata – Took his goal well. Played some nice passes and showed some desire to fight. Not bad. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Pretty quiet. Made some good runs but didn’t really get into the game. 4/10

Romelu Lukaku – Drifted out wide far too often for my liking. He’s supposed to be our main goal-getter. 4/10

Subs:

Alexis Sanchez – Put in a shift as per usual but didn’t really threaten.

Marcos Rojo – Not enough time to mark.

Scott McTominay – Not enough time to mark.
