Player Ratings: Manchester City 0-1 Manchester United – Rashford stars

David de Gea – Made a couple of decent saves, but was largely untested. 7/10

Matteo Darmian – Very wayward at times and looked tired as the game went on. Subbed off. 6/10

Chris Smalling – Played fantastically either side of two dodgy tackles on Sergio Aguero. Lead from the back. 8/10

Daley Blind – Sat in nicely alongside Smalling. Kept United moving in the right direction and did well. 7/10

Marcos Rojo – Subbed off after an hour due to injury, but ran City ragged down that left-hand side. 7/10

Morgan Schneiderlin – Protected the back four wonderfully as per usual. 7/10

Michael Carrick – Carrick’s best game in ages. Kept the game ticking and in United’s favour. 8/10

Jesse Lingard  – Lively. Linked up wonderfully with the likes of Anthony Martial and Rashford. 7/10

Juan Mata – Found plenty of space in the middle of the park, arguably could have done more with it. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – What a day for the young man. Led from the front and more than deserved his goal. 8/10

Anthony Martial – Show flashes of what he can do, and will be an absolute star in the years to come. 6/10

Subs:

Antonio Valencia – Came on and did well.

Bastian Schweinsteiger – Brought a calmness to the midfield.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah – Not enough time to mark.
