Anders Lindegaard – Didn’t really have any saves to make, but his distribution and first touch was poor in comparison to De Gea’s. 5/10
Phil Jones – Won headers, passed the ball forward well and looked solid. 7/10
Chris Smalling – Tried as the middle centre-back and looked much more comfortable. 7/10
Jonny Evans – Didn’t give the Inter Milan forward line a sniff. Forming an excellent partnership alongside Smalling & Jones. 7/10
Antonio Valencia – Played well as the right-wingback. Ran up and down all day, and put in some decent crosses. 6/10
Darren Fletcher – Bossed the middle of the park which is what you expect from your captain. Scored the winning penalty, too. Man of the Match. 9/10
Ander Herrera – His one touch football was wonderful to watch, and you appreciate just how much ground he covers over ninetey minutes. 8/10
Ashley Young – Did well as the left-wingback. His crossing was on point and he looked threatening. 7/10
Juan Mata – Picked some nice little passes and you can see a superb partnership forming between Mata & Rooney. 7/10
Wayne Rooney – Worked hard enough. Didn’t get given an inch of space by the Inter defenders though. 6/10
Danny Welbeck – Probably his quietest game of the tour. The inter defenders were on him from minute one and he couldn’t find a way through. 5/10
Subs:
David de Gea – Saved a Guarin rocket of a free-kick wonderfully. Distributed the ball excellently. 7/10
Luke Shaw – The pace Luke Shaw has is unreal. When he came on he really troubled that Inter right-hand side with his speed. Final ball was sometimes lacking though. 6/10
Tyler Blackett – Calm, composed and did well on the ball. Didn’t give his marker an inch going backwards either. Impressive. 7/10
Michael Keane – Looking more and more likely that he’ll have some role to play with the first-team. Intelligent and solid. 7/10
Tom Cleverley – Kept it simple and wanted the ball. Retained possession very well, and scored his penalty. 7/10
Nani – Looking less and less like a Manchester United player. Very quiet, gave the ball away cheaply and didn’t look too interested. 4/10
Shinji Kagawa – Played some nice little passes but didn’t really threaten the Inter goal.
Wilfried Zaha – Very impressive despite a lack of action recently. Looked sharp, full of running and dangerous. Expect to see him feature more. 7/10
Javier Hernandez – Didn’t really have an awful lot of time to make an impact. You feel the end is nigh for Chicharito. 5/10
