David de Gea – Quiet, and had nothing to do other than pick the ball out of the back of his net. 6/10
Antonio Valencia – Had plenty of chances to bomb forward and get a decent ball in, but his cross was woeful more often than not. 5/10
Chris Smalling – Defensively brilliant as per usual. Dealt with Leicester’s pace on the counter excellently. 7/10
Daley Blind – Another good performance at centre-back from Blind. He may not be the quickest, but his reading of the game is outstanding. 7/10
Marcos Rojo – Like Valencia, got forward plenty but couldn’t deliver a decent ball in. 6/10
Michael Carrick – His legs have well and truly gone. He still has the passing ability, but his mobility is getting worse. 5/10
Marouane Fellaini – Threw his weight around a bit, and lucky to not get sent off for an elbow. At least he was a threat. 6/10
Jesse Lingard – Not his finest outing. He clearly has the talent but sometimes he looks scared to show it. 5/10
Wayne Rooney – Average. Sprayed some nice passes out to the flanks but didn’t really grab the game by the scruff of the neck. 6/10
Anthony Martial – Took his goal wonderfully with a first-time finish. Gave Leicester’s defenders a real problem. 8/10
Marcus Rashford – Quiet. Didn’t really get the chance to run at Leicester with his pace. 5/10
Subs:
Ander Herrera – Lively.
Memphis Depay – Should have won his side a late penalty but the ref didn’t call it.
Juan Mata – Strung some nice passes together.
